    We had dinner here by default because it was after 8 pm on a Monday night and all the other restaurants in Hobart seemed to be closed or closing. We were so impressed with our meals - we ordered pasta dishes and they were exquisite. The gnocchi was delicious and our seafood pasta had more seafood than pasta (usually the other way round). The wine we selected was lovely and the service was excellent. It was a good way to end our stay in Hobart!

    Great selection of beverages at the bar including local options, very reasonable pricing and an excellent barman.

    We had dinner with friends at Charcoal on Saturday night. The food was excellent especially the entres of squid and gnocchi. The main course of market fish of the day, Blue eye was amazing!!! Deserts was also delicious!!

    Amazing Tasmanian produce and helpful staff. The Cape Grim steaks were perfect! Terrific drink selection.
