Very interesting history. The staff were very informative. Inspired me I hope to win the trip by plane monthly draw.

This faithful replica building gives an insight to how things were for those who made history for Australia in the Antarctic. Be prepared for lot of reading though.

Felt like I was really there. (Well, not really but the howling wind sound effect made me feel chilly!) Allow an hour to read the personal life descriptions of those intrepid explorers and how things worked out for them The inner area is full of artefacts and very knowledgeable volunteer staff.

A life sized reconstruction of the huts used for Antarctic exploration. Really well done and informative receptionists.

I had just finished reading a book on Mawsons expedition before going to this museum. It was great to get a feel for it so soon after reading the account.
