A great compliment to experiencing the 200 year history of colonial Hobart and Tasmania. Recommend booking a tour via the website, it's part of the cover charge, and really brings history to life, with dedicated staff full of knowledge and passion.

Had a wonderful young man provide us with a great deal of knowledge and we were the only two people there at the time. He had such passion for his subject and the museum is very lucky to have him. I wish I could remember his name. We were there on Wednesday 16th November. My interest was due to having a Redcoat in my family history who had been posted here during his time in the 99th Regiment. Excellent tour.

Fine for people into military history but small, not much there, almost nothing for kids
