A notice in this joint says that a full load will take 45 mins to dry. That's utter BS. In all seriousness you'd be lucky to dry a full load in under 3 hours with these machines. The Trade Descriptions Act should be all over this one. You'd get waaaaay better results by laying your washing over the bonnet of your car and running the engine for 20 minutes. In winter.

Everything you've read about it being a ripoff, dirty and ineffective is true. And why don't these reviews allow for zero star ratings??!!!

I've come to this laundrette having already read the previous reviews about its poor standard.

The machines don't work properly, the clothes weren't washed completely and the drier took over half an hour and the clothes still weren't dry!! Never use this place. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

I've been doing some online research while here. The dryers used are Speed Queens and American-made Huebsch Loadstars. The latter are standard in laundromats, and always reliable whenever I've used them before. This morning I've used 2 separate dryers, including two consecutive cycles on 1 machine (plenty time for it to get piping hot). BOTH of them have been luke warm at best, so I Googled "How to calibrate heat on Huebsch Loadstar". Voila! Technical manual allows for it to be done. So... an expensive laundry which uses machines which can have their heat settings quietly calibrated. You can join the dots.

I sincerely hope this place goes out of business soon. It doesn't deserve your money, and it clearly doesn't care about ripping you off. Give me a business with good honest service (even if it's expensive), and I'll support it for life. But this rubbish.... nah.

I also think it's weird that people would devote a lot of page space to review something like a laundromat. However, I have time - I'm here waiting while the rickety old dryer runs. Plus, like most people I value the feedback of others when they're ripped off by businesses which don't deserve to be open. This business qualifies for that. With honours.

$1 for 5 mins. For a luke warm machine. The standard is $1 for 8 mins in a HOT machine. I know, because I'd previously spent 4 months needing a laundromat service. 8 mins on a hot cycle would get me a bone-dry garment in most other laundromats. I'm now at the end of 3 cycles (15 mins)... and yes, my jeans are still damp. Another 3 cycles (15 minutes) would probably do it, but I'm not hanging around.

Why did I come here today? 3 reasons: 1) I had to dry a pair of jeans in a hurry & I wasn't at home, 2) nowhere else open at 7am on Sun, 3) curiosity.

Dryers cost twice as much as other dryers. Washing machines spend twice as long stuck in cycle. Central spot but would not recommend.
