My Psychiatrist who is different doctor obviously, went on holiday so I couldn't speak to her, but she told me that they as in the nurses and directors of the hospital have more power over a Doctor. My Dr. is Brilliant, unfortunately I could not contact her.

There is a big sign at the front saying "your well being is our priority" you got to be kidding me. How is that a priority kicking a patient out without asking what happened? And as I said, this is Psychiatrist Hospital but they treat you like you are not sick and all well in the head, so why am I there in the first place?!.

Absolutely beyond terrible. Dr David Weidman prescribed me so many anti depression medications I had a massive grand mall seizure and nearly died. As a result of the seizure I lost my drivers licence, my job and nearly my sanity and when I asked Dr Weidman to fill in some paperwork so I could go on disability he never bothered despite half a dozen reminders . So as a result of Weidmans so called treatment my mental illness is worse , I am jobless, penniless, without a driver licence in an area with no public transport and am now addicted to all the ineffective pills he put me on which include Prozac, endep, mirtazapine , Ativan ,temazapam and serequil. Which for an anxiety disorder is absolutely rediculous. Avoid this clinic like the plague. If I could afford a lawyer I would sue them for negligence causing harm.

For the record, this is a Psychiatrist Hospital. If you break one rule, they will kick you out, even call the police to escort you. They don't give you chance to explain what happened, even if your polite ect. They simply do not care. An incident has occurred while I was there on 23rd Dec. 2016 when I was supposed to come back to hospital at 9pm. Unfortunately I came back at 7am and had some alcohol but I was not drunk. I came back while the night staff was still there. As I said before and say it again, they did not ask what happened, they did not care what happened and why I came in the morning. They simply called the cops, and kicked me out. When I asked for my medication they said to go to your gp, really? The Dr. Was there, why couldn't he prescribe my meds? At least he can do that, can't he? What kind of a Dr. is he. I don't know his name but I believe it was something like Dr. Whitman.

If you looking for a hospital because of drug use or any kind of mental health, Anxiety, OCD and so on, DO NOT go to St. Helen's!! They do not help there, in fact, other patients bring drugs and when I told them, they do not care.

I will make a complaint higher how they treat patients as I am not the only one who got kicked out, one patient got kicked out because she was late 1hr to see her Dr. and had no where to go as that patient was not from Tasmania and her family was in Queensland.

I cannot say that all nursers are like that, but the night nursers should have their license taken away, same goes to that doctor who made that decision to kick me out and I got told by the Nurse that he doesn't want to see me. Wow great Doctor!

Seriously, what did I do? Was I aggressive? NO I simply came in the morning and had some alcohol and needed help to talk and explain what happened but they would not let me. All I got was a kick in the butt, that is the help you get at St. Helen's Hospital!
